The 10 best home runs from 2019, ranked in difficulty

 

With Statcast data (using statcastr in R), I analyzed every home run this season and ranked them by difficulty. To compute scores, I created a dataset that included home runs and other batter swing-related outcomes (e.g., strikeouts, singles, etc.), and then used random forest techniques to classify pitches according to how likely or unlikely they would result in a home run.
